This policy explains how Aldo Bunker collects and uses personal data when you visit this website or send a quote request.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is ALDO BUNKER DI PAPPALARDO CRISTIANO, a sole trader (ditta individuale) trading as Aldo Bunker, with its registered office at Via del Fagiano 86, 57125 Livorno, Italy and VAT number IT02107680494. You can contact us about this policy at info@aldobunker.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Quote request form: your full name, email address, phone number, country and the message you write. The message can include your vessel name, delivery port, product and quantity.
  • Correspondence: the emails and calls we exchange with you about your request.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you request and the time of each request. Our hosting provider records this in server logs.
  • Cookie consent record: your cookie choices, the date and time you made them and technical details such as your IP address and browser, processed by our cookie consent tool.

We do not ask for special categories of personal data. Please do not include them in your message.

3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis

  • To answer your quote request and prepare a quotation. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To keep the website secure and to prevent abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To ask for, record and prove your cookie choices. Legal basis: legal obligation and our legitimate interest in showing that we comply (Article 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR).
  • To keep accounting and tax records when a quotation becomes an order. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We send marketing communications only if you have agreed to receive them.

4. Who receives your data

We share personal data only where needed for the purposes above, with:

  • our hosting, form delivery, email and cookie consent providers, who process data on our instructions;
  • the third-party suppliers who supply and deliver the product or service you ask for, and who are responsible for it, only to the extent needed to prepare or carry out your order;
  • professional advisers, authorities and courts where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Our clients and partners are located worldwide, so your data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area. Where the European Commission has not recognised a country as offering adequate protection, we use safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses. 6. How long we keep your data

  • Quote requests and related correspondence: 24 months after our last contact with you, unless they lead to a contract.
  • Contract and accounting records: for the period that the tax and accounting law applicable to us requires.
  • Server logs: 30 days.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise a right, write to info@aldobunker.com. We reply within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it). If you live elsewhere, you can contact the authority in your country.

8. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. It uses a cookie consent tool, Cookiebot, which stores your choice in a cookie. Read our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.

10. Children

This website is for businesses and yacht professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
