On the east coast of the Qatar peninsula, on the western side of the Gulf, Doha is the capital and main city of Qatar. Its old port on the city waterfront has been remade as a yacht and cruise harbour that hosts the Qatar Boat Show, and the city is a winter base for yachts cruising the Gulf, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai across the water to the east.
